Lena Chen (MFA ‘22) was awarded a Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellowship by the American Council of Learned Societies, an award for early-career doctoral students pursuing innovative dissertation research for her project Yellow Power Play: Art and Activism in Asian American Sex Work at UC Berkeley.
Roma Devanbu (BFA ‘80) opened the solo show “Possessed” at Axis Gallery in Sacramento, CA, on May 2, showing 2D and 3D mixed-media pieces and photographs. On view through June 1.
Jacob Feige (BFA ‘02) exhibited work with Pentimenti Gallery at Expo Chicago April 26-27.
Joyce Kozloff (BFA ‘64) is showing work in “Interlayered,” an exhibition of work by Valerie Jaudon, Kozloff, Whitfield Lvell, and Chie Fueki at DC Moore Gallery in New York, open May 8 – June 14.
Shana Moulton (MFA ‘11) is showing Wandering Inner Eyes with Art on the Mart, a projection across the 2.5-acre facade of the Mart at Chicago’s Riverwalk, on view April 25-July 6.

C. Ryu (MFA ‘23) will be performing as part of Hwa Records for GYOPO Diasporic Refractions at Blue Ribbon Garden at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in partnership with the LA Phil for their 2025 Seoul Festival on June 8.
Nina Sarnelle (MFA ‘13) presented a four-day exhibition and programming series with Touch Praxis from May 2-5 at Human Resources in Los Angeles. Including the work of over 40 collaborators, “Other Others // rehearsals in the skin” considered anti-colonial forms of touch as a method for collectively dreaming disability justice, ecological repair, Palestinian liberation, and queer futurity.
